Europe!

I suppose it's time to tell you how my trip to Europe went.

Overall the trip was amazing, but it didn't start so well. Our first flight, which was from Boise to San Fransico was delayed, and that caused us to miss our second flight which was from San Fran to London (Heathrow). It all worked out for the best though because we got on the later flight which was the flight my uncle was on. So instead of waiting 6 hours for him in London, we waited with him in San Fran.

We spent the first 2 days of our trip in London. We kind of took it easy, and got to know the "tube" system. One thing I did notice in London was that everyone is kinda rude. It's a giant city that tons of tourists come to so the locals are not helpful or nice. But I did see Big Ben!

After that we took a train, then ferry to Dublin, Ireland. We spent a few nights at a hostel there, and did a little sight seeing.

Next we took a train up to Belfast, Northern Ireland for a day.

Then we went back to Dublin. I really liked Dublin. People were really nice and it was beautiful. One day we went to a flea-market-type-thing along the harbor and toured the Guiness Brewery. We also took a tour to the Cliffs of Moher. It was B-E-A-UTIFUL. We saw a field where a scene from Braveheart was filmed. We also stopped at another placed along the coast that was cliffy. Oh yeah! I got to see the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland!

Sadly our time in Ireland had to come to an end sooner or later and we took the ferry and train back to London. We watched part of the changing of the guard and went to see Stonehedge which was also amazing. There just rocks standing there, but it's still really cool. (There was also a lady on our tour bus that was one of those "natural" types. She lifted up her arm and it looked like a man's armpit! And I was like, "WHOA!!" I didn't say that outloud though. Just in my head.)

Now that brings us to the end of the trip. I really really really want to go back to Ireland. It was amazing. If I had to choose between London and Ireland...Ireland would win hands down. Who knows...maybe I'll marry an Irish man. ;) haha

June Newsletter

In just a few short days Mission Adventures staff training will begin. Staff training will last two weeks and we’ll spend it getting to know each other, designing/building/painting a set, preparing the program, and getting together all the other little odds and ends that need done before teams show up.

This years MA theme is REACT and the theme verses are all of Isaiah 61 with an emphasis on verses 1-3. The heart of all MA staff this year is to see this younger generation be filled with God’s love and to stop being apathetic. We want to see them stand up and REACT. We have the power to do the impossible!

Needless to say I’m really excited about this summer. Not only do we have a great theme, but this is also one of our biggest summers ever! We’re expecting around a total of 180 students to come through. We have teams going to Alaska, Salt Lake City, Lapwai, Duck Valley, and India.

This Year I have 2 big trips planned. One will be leading a small team to Varanasi, India this summer and the other will be to participate in a 12 week Bible Core Course in Lausanne, Switzerland. The India trip will cost $800 and the school in Switzerland will cost around $4600 (That will cover tuition, International health insurance, food, housing, and plane ticket.) The grand total for both trips comes out to $5400. That is a large chunk of change, but I totally believe God can and will provide. As of right now I have about $200 towards the $5400 which means I now only need $5200. PRAISE THE LORD!

I just want to ask you to please consider investing in me. Investing in me will not make you a millionaire, but I think it’s worth while.

Praises:

  • I had a great vacation with my grandma and uncle. I was so blessed by them and God gave us sunny weather!
  • I’ve had $200 given towards my trips!·
  • God’s creation is awe inspiring.

Prayer Requests:

  • God’s wisdom as I plan for the Mormon Focused DTS.
  • Safety as my team travels to India.·
  • Deeper intimacy with Christ.

Thanks again for always supporting me!
