Summer time!

I'm not actually sure if anyone still reads my blog or if anyone ever did really, but I thought I should update it.

For those of you who don't know, I am no longer working with YWAM. I love YWAM and I definitely enjoyed my 3 1/2 years working with them, but I never felt that I would be a YWAMer for life. God has placed desires and visions on my heart and now is the time to pursue them.

This fall I am starting school at Cascadia Community College in Bothell, WA. I'm going for Business with a focus on Accounting. When I first joined YWAM I remember saying, "I would be happy if I never have to go back to school!" but now I can't wait to go back. Going back to school is the first step to seeing my vision come to life.

However school doesn't start until September so I am spending the summer in beautiful McCall, ID. I am living and working with an amazing family here. We clean rental properties such as houses, cabins, and condos. It's been fun and I'm getting pretty good at making beds! :) I have been here for 3 weeks and I'm really enjoying myself. Not only am I in a beautiful mountain town, but I'm also only 30 minutes away from all my friends at YWAM Idaho which has been a huge blessing.

Well that is the life of Tiffany!

Haiti

Hey everyone!

Sorry it's taken me so long to send out an actual update. We've spent the past 2 weeks in Port Au Prince. We were living at New Life orphanage in their soccer field in tents. It was great. Well except for the night it rained cats and dogs and me and my tent mate, Grace were flooded. The next day was spent trying to dry off all of our things. It's things like that that make life an adventure I guess. During my time in PAP I became the pharmacist for the mobile medical clinics we ran in different tent cities. I also helped organize supplies in the Post-Op clinic at the orphanage and helped put up tents in a tent city. The Post-Op clinic at the orphange is for kids who were injured in the earthquake who still need further care to clean their wounds, change their bandages, and for physical therapy.

During my time here I'm not alone. I came with my friend Andy from Seattle and we have picked up another friend named Grace. We arrived together and we are leaving together so we have become our own little team. Yesterday was a transition day for us. We moved from PAP to the YWAM base in St. Marc. So far our time in St. Marc has been good and relaxing. We went to the beautiful, but kind of dirty beach today with some of the other volunteers. Tomorrow we start getting plugged in to the ministries here. I'm not entirely sure what that will look like, but I do know that will probably involve refugee registration, food and clothing distribution, and administration.

I just want to thank you guys for all of your prayers and support. I am loving being here. I know God still has great things in store for me, my team, and Haiti.

With love from Haiti!

Prayer requests:
~Health-at the YWAM base in St. Marc there has been some kind of vicious bug going around and I would like to never have to experience that and I'm sure Andy and Grace feel the same.
~Intimacy with God during our devotional time and also while we're serving.
~Safety-Where we are isn't unsafe, but it's a good thing to pray for. :)
